Paralympic swimmer Ellie Cole has claimed the top spot in Maxim’s Hot 100.

She graced the cover of the magazine wearing a racy black bandeau with matching high waisted bottoms that drew attention to her washboard abs.

The 29-year-old champion swimmer is the first-ever athlete to take the number one spot on the publication’s annual Hot 100 list.

In another sultry picture, Ellie wore a long patent black coat, teamed with a crop top and bottoms that again showcased her toned torso. 

The brunette stripped off the coat and reclined back for another photo, flaunting her athletic figure.

Ellie told Maxim: ‘Never has there been a better time for minority groups to have the spotlight and the opportunities to showcase their authentic selves. 

‘I have always been inspired to set an example and start the conversation on embracing differences.

‘Awareness is a powerful thing. This MAXIM cover is reframing the message of diversity and normalising the portrayal of people with disabilities,’ she said.

‘To have an opportunity like this is very humbling,’ the Tokyo Paralympian added.

Ellie is joined on the list by fellow Paralympian Madison de Rozario and Olympians Ariarne Titmus, Emma McKeon, Jessica Fox and Kaylee McKeown.

She also beat out the likes of Delta Goodrem, actors Margot Robbie, Samara Weaving, Sarah Snook and Elizabeth Debicki, as well as former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian.

Ellie is Australia’s most decorated Paralympian with 17 medals in total over four games.

She has won six gold, five silver and six bronze, and most recently in Tokyo – a silver in the 4 x 100 freestyle relay and a bronze in the 4 x 100 medley relay.
