Adele is seen sneaking into boyfriend Rich Paul’s $14M Beverly Hills mansion

Distraught superstar Adele hightailed it back to her lover’s arms immediately after taping her tearful message to fans telling them her four-month Las Vegas residency had been scrapped, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

Wasting no more time in Sin City, the British singer rushed to sports agent Rich Paul’s Beverly Hills home and was there within two hours of telling the world that her show ‘ain’t ready’ for public consumption.

Wearing bedroom slippers and a $450 Louis Vuitton shawl slung over the camo hoodie she had worn when she taped the message, the British singer took a Caesars Palace plane to get her out of the city that had become a nightmare for her.

She flew to Van Nuys Airport in the San Fernando Valley where Paul’s black Mercedes Benz was waiting by the hangar. A driver whisked her 16 miles to Paul’s $14 million Beverly Hills home.

It was an ignominious exit for Adele, 32, whose Instagram video in which she blamed the Covid pandemic for kneecapping her performance has now been viewed nearly 17 million times.

‘Listen, I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready,’ the exhausted-looking singer said through sobs in a message posted Friday, just hours before the curtain was due to go up at Caesars.

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you.

‘But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

‘Half my crew, half my team are down with Covid — they still are — and it’s been impossible to finish the show,’ she added.

‘I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted. I’m gutted and I’m sorry it’s so last minute.

‘We’ve been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out’ she claimed. ‘And we’ve run out of time.

‘I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to everyone that’s traveled.’

She insisted the shows would go ahead sometime in the future. ‘We’re gonna reschedule all of the dates. We’re on it right now. And I’m going to finish my show and I’m going to get it to where it’s supposed to be,’ she said.

London-born Adele started dating Paul last summer shortly after her divorce from Simon Konecki, the father of her 9-year-old son, was finalized.

She had married Konecki in 2018 and they separated the same year.

She met Paul at a party and says she drunkenly asked him to sign her. ‘I’m an athlete now,’ she told him.

They were first seen together publicly in July last year sitting courtside at Game Five of the NBA finals in Phoenix. They went together to a party for James’s wife Savannah the following month and have since been seen frequently together at sporting events or eating out.

The singer told Rolling Stone in November that their relationship is the most ‘incredible, open-hearted, and easiest’ she has ever been in.

‘I’m not frightened of loneliness anymore,’ she added.

Adele also told Rolling Stone that she did not want to go on tour because she was worried about logistics during the pandemic.

‘It’s too unpredictable, with all the rules and stuff,’ she said. ‘I don’t want anyone coming to my show scared. And I don’t want to get Covid, either.’

Adele — born in London as Adele Adkins — has been slammed for the 11th-hour postponement of the show, where the top tickets were reaching $30,000 on the black market.

Fans, particularly from Britain and around the United States, had paid thousands more in air fares to get them to Nevada for opening night. Many are now demanding the Rolling in the Deep singer should reimburse them for their travel.

Ticketmaster is urging people to ‘hang on to their tickets’ for new dates predicted to be between April and June – but says they will give refunds if people apply online.

Many have cast doubt on her Covid explanation. Vegas journalist Scott Roeben, who broke the story of her residency, claimed she was insisting on tearing out the sound system at Caesar’s Colosseum theater and installing her own.

There has been speculation that Adele might prefer to have boyfriend Paul managing her. He was in Vegas with her as she rehearsed for the shows, which reportedly would net her $2 million a night

‘Apparently, Adele and her team refused to use the house equipment in The Colosseum,’ said Roeben.

‘The theatre has a massive video screen, very high tech, but Adele’s team insisted upon an entirely new system – a larger screen, essentially built a few inches in front of the existing screen.

‘Such demands not only drive up production costs but, at a time when supplies are disrupted, it’s a recipe for disaster – in this case last-minute delays or cancellations.

‘I also hear from a source that Caesars had to replace the cutting edge Meyer sound system and replace it with a different system for her.’

Roeben, who writes for the news site casino.org, added: ‘It’s being shared from those familiar with the situation that Caesars Palace was ‘100 per cent ready for her,’ so there are other forces at work here.

‘Unfortunately, it sounds like one of those factors is a diva.’

Some believe that, given the venue’s program of events, it is possible that the show won’t go ahead until 2023, if at all.

It’s all a headache for her manager Jonathan Dickins, who snapped her up as an unsigned teenager, and has been at her side throughout.

He put her together with a writer for her debut single Chasing Pavements and has steered her to global superstardom, including during her world tour in 2016 and 2017.

There has been speculation that Adele might prefer to have boyfriend Paul in the driving seat.

He was in Vegas with her as she rehearsed for the shows, which Billboard reported would net her $2 million a night.

Insiders have claimed that Adele clashed with Caesars Palace after a choir of 60 singers auditioned to perform the Skyfall opening number. It is alleged that the venue had been planning a spectacular display, while Adele wanted the show to be much more ‘low-key’ and ‘all about the voice’.

And this weekend it was also claimed the star had also fought with her set designer Esmeralda Devlin, who had previously worked with Adele on her world tour.

A source told The Sun: ‘In spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result and she made her feelings very clear to Es.

‘She was already nervous and the falling-out sent her spiraling into a panic because she was desperate that everything should be perfect.’

Another source said: ‘There was no real clarity around what Adele wanted for the show because of the endless changes being made to the production.

‘While she has always preferred a stripped-back performance, she was under some pressure to come up with a huge extravaganza.

‘So there was a constant ricochet between those two versions of what the show should be and it did cause some quite explosive arguments.

‘Most shows have teething problems of one kind or another, but there has been a feeling for some time that these shows were heading for disaster.’

The source added: ‘It is well known Adele suffers badly with anxiety when it comes to performing live, so it’s hard to imagine her going ahead if she wasn’t happy.’

Adele is known to be a perfectionist. One source told DailyMail.com it took 14 retakes before she was happy with her performance for last year’s CBS special One Night Only which she filmed at LA’s Griffith Observatory.
