Culture Kings founders revealed as buyers of epic $15.25m penthouse – realestate.com.au

The Soul Penthouse sits across three levels.

The Queensland founders of streetwear brand Culture Kings have levelled-up bidding $15.25m for an epic penthouse – in store, that’s about 389,000 basic haircuts or 47,600 Timberland Xs.

Mega-rich local business identity Tah-nee Beard, 33, was revealed as the mystery buyer of the luxurious Soul penthouse in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. She co-founded popular streetwear company Culture Kings there 13 years ago with husband Simon Beard, and it’s since gone gangbusters around the world.

The $15.25 million cash bought a three-level sky home in the Soul tower, and by all accounts she got a bargain with it being valued at $20m.

The purchase comes less than four months after the Beards sold their majority stake in Culture Kings for a cool $600m, putting them instantly on the Australian rich list.

The penthouse was apparently valued at $20m.

The luxurious penthouse has five bedrooms, including a master suite with his and hers walk-in wardrobes and powder rooms, dining and sitting rooms, two lounges, a study, a kitchen, a butler’s pantry, a cigar lounge and a bar.

The unit had been valued at $20m and was sold by Sydney-based Andrew Koloadin who bought it from Hong Kong tycoon Tony Fung for $6.5 million in 2018.

No expense was spared creating the luxury sky home.

But it’s not the only property the young business identities own in the area.

The couple already have a three-level Surfers Paradise mansion, which they paid $11.75m for a year ago.

Ms Beard is also the listed owner of a six-bedroom, $3.3m riverfront mansion in Ashmore.
