Pride Of Britain: Molly-Mae Hague makes defiant red carpet return after burglary

Molly-Mae Hague has been slammed by two Made In Chelsea stars following her £800k burglary.

The former Love Island star was branded “not smart” by Nicola Hughes and Tiffany Watson after an “experienced gang” of thieves targeted the apartment she shares with boyfriend Tommy Fury back in October.

The couple were robbed of designer clothes and expensive jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Talking about the incident, which left Molly-Mae visibly shaken, Tiffany and her pal discussed how the influencer would often flaunt her wealth on social media.

Speaking on their What We Don’t Post podcast, Tiffany, who is the daughter of a millionaire restauranteur, said: “The only thing I would say…do you ever watch her vlogs? She does showcase a lot of what she buys and it will be things like 50 grand necklaces.

“I think, if you’re a burglar, that’s kind of your ideal candidate because you can see all these things that she’s got.

“She’s not hiding any of them, which is amazing because I loved watching all those things, but from a safety point of view, it was maybe not the smartest idea.”

Meanwhile, Nicola added: “Obviously she has security 24/7, that’s great but in general, when I’m wearing my engagement ring or anything expensive, I’m quite nervous. I don’t know if there is any comparison.”

Molly-Mae sparked fury and ridicule earlier this month when old footage of her speaking during a podcast emerged showing her claiming she had worked her “arse off” to achieve her fame and fortune.

Her comments provoked an explosive backlash – with many blasting the star for crediting hard work for her success when many highlighted she had been handed a ‘Creative Director’ role at online fashion site Pretty Little Thing purely because she had achieved fame and Instagram followers after featuring on Love Island in 2019.

In her controversial podcast, Molly-Mae had stated: “You’re given one life and it’s down to you what you do with it. You can literally go in any direction.

“When I’ve spoken about that in the past I have been slammed a little bit, with people saying ‘it’s easy for you to say that because you’ve not grown up in poverty, so for you to sit there and say we all have the same 24 hours in a day is not correct.’ But, technically, what I’m saying is correct. We do.

“I understand we all have different backgrounds and we’re all raised in different ways and we do have different financial situations, but I think if you want something enough you can achieve it.

“It just depends on what lengths you want to go to get where you want to be in the future. And I’ll go to any length.”

She then added: “I’ve worked my absolute arse off to get where I am now.”
